Updated Annual Fees for Alcoholic Beverage Licenses Will Become Effective October 1, 2018

Beverage License Fees In Baker, Bradford, and Jackson Counties To Decrease Based On A Decrease In County Population

The Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco Annual License Fees list, effective October 1, 2018, is available here. The updated fee list includes changes in license fees effectuated by law from bills enacted during the 2018 legislative session and changes in license fees attributable to decreases in county population.

Baker, Bradford, and Jackson Counties’ license fee have decreased based on population changes within the counties. According to the University of Florida’s Bureau of Economic and Business Research, 2017 Florida Estimates of Population, the population for Baker, Bradford, and Jackson Counties all decreased to a level consistent with a decreased fee tier. Baker County with a decrease in population to 24,808 and Bradford County with a decrease in population to 24,673 have both qualified for a decreased fee tier applicable to counties with a population less than 25,000. The fee decrease will take effect October 1, 2018. Accordingly, the license series for spirituous alcoholic beverage licenses in Baker and Bradford Counties will change from 7COP to 8COP for consumption on premises licenses and from 3CPS to 3DPS for package sales only licenses. Jackson County with a decrease in county population to 43,055 has qualified for a decreased fee tier applicable to counties with a population between 25,000 and not over 50,000. Accordingly, the license series for spirituous alcoholic beverage licenses in Jackson County also will change from 6COP to 7COP for consumption on premises licenses and from 3BPS to 3CPS for package sales only licenses.
