Home Inspector Examinations

Any person desiring to obtain a license as a home inspector must pass one of the written examinations approved by the department. Home inspector examinations are provided by nationally recognized entities and are not administered by the department. Examinations must be proctored and cover the following systems and components of a home: the structure, electrical system, HVAC system, roof covering, plumbing system, interior components, exterior components, and site conditions that affect the structure.
